Transformers Mediocrity 2 Transformers Mediocrity 2

Funny

The visuals/backgrounds first seem meh, but then the animation is good. Writing and voice acting superb, storyboard weird but well done, jumps back and forth.

Wow

Probably not the classiest subject matter, yet it's been pulled off with some damn good skill 0_o

Vocals, writing, animation, sound and music, it's all quite well done.

w00t

Excellent concept, writing, music. The animation was only "good" I'd say, but then again fancy is laggy.

Katawa Shoujo: SotF Katawa Shoujo: SotF

'C' is your projectile, choose from lobbed Jack Daniels or pretzel(?) boomerangs. I recommend the latter, especially against Lily. Destroy candles and torches for ammunition. Leap Miki's 3xShot then await the following hop from a distance to greet her landing with a crouched scarf.

Only three attacks on Lilly. Jump>crouch for fireballs, leap rainbowls, and the bowl debris... fuck if I know. The attack window is right when she ports in, just make one attack then await hers. Pretzels can rebound for 2x dmg. Simply keep trading properly, swing then concentrate. Invisibility changes nothing.

'Replay' after for a real fight with Akira. You can sometimes wait>jump>scarf the homing rocket 40's. Slide under her fire potion airpose if you're too close to back out. Rush in a scarf before gunshots, then the wait>jump, then another scarf. Using Jack Daniels can technically block the 40s/firepot/3xBeer, but they're awkward and don't hasten her demise like pretzels. Akira is not for a novice, rushing won't work, a kill requires surviving many attacks unharmed. Succeed and enjoy the author's supposed disbelief.

It's a satisfying fight, yet 4/5 because let's face it, this game is nothing but. Feel free to repost any of this if it's useful.

NG's Finest NG's Finest

Rebalance FFS

Clean ratios if you imagine an 18 day "rotation"
During them: -18% loyalty, +54 en (passive)
6 days disc = +18% loyalty, -54 en (v2 HQ)
7 days rest = +35 en
5 day study = -35en, +10 stat

13 days of maintenance for 5 days of results. Tiny results, after all that. Even with the bistro and box/mindchamber, a lot of screen time is spent against decay.

Maintenance is nothing new; we've all pulled Harvest Moon weeds, repaired weapons and armor, fetched more ammo, meditated to recover mana, etc. so -1% loyalty/day avg is fine. The problem is ##you raise it like a permanent stat## when it's supposed to be something occasionally treated. A day in v1 HQ was +2 loyalty, gone by the next day. v2's +3 isn't much better. Consider the below values:

4-6 HQ (-7en, +5%)
5-7 McFulp's (-7en, +6%)
8-10 The Box (-10en, +9%)
11-15 Mindchamber (-14en, +13%)

Player still has to maintain loyalty regularly, on top of all that resting. The only other math that gets under my skin is 3 troops and 4 skill pools (attributes) to choose from, but oh well. Other thoughts:

-Consider representative icons for stats, skills, activities. Could add a spot on the front screen to show what troops are assigned to do, instead of the hover tooltip.
-You need a mute. Maybe consider alternate BGMs like sim pico 2.
-Save feature still desirable.
-The buy/build interface is split in two, but "inventory" "shop" sounds like you could show both at once.
-The "shop" could show images only. Select something and then the specs are in a details field, or hover tooltip. Question mark images for unresearched buildings.
-"Degotiation" typo in the help panel.

Madness Regent Madness Regent

Awesome

That was sweet, not very long but what there was impressed me, did a good job with the madness feel too. WASD+mouseaim and a fire button (click, space) would've worked, more traditional and better aim - unless that was the idea, it might be too easy then.

In game tip: Leave one speaker up at ~10hp, then come back after you destroy the other.
